METER HOLIDAYS: The following days are "Meter" holidays which does not require one to deposit coins in the parking meters:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Sunday then the metered holiday is considered in effect the Monday thereafter. Meter holidays apply to street metered parking, Site A parking, Site B parking and Site D Parking. It does not apply to Site C parking where meter and permit regulations are in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
A meter holiday as outlined above allows one to park without depositing coins during the hours posted on the meter.
Weather related parking; if a "State of Emergency" is declared by both the County of Westchester and the Town of Greenburgh metered parking regulations are suspended. Contact Greenburgh Police at 914-989-1710 to find out if a State of Emergency has been declared or check your local radio and/or cable news station.
On days of inclement weather (snow falls and heavy rains) metered parking is in effect unless an official State of Emergency has been declared as described above. Depending on the severity of the weather, time limit parking may be lifted but meter fees are still in effect; if you leave your car on the street and/or in the Site A garage during regular metered hours during such weather conditions you must feed the meters accordingly.
